HONOLULU (KHON2) -- A broad area of high pressure continues to bring brisk trade winds to the islands. An upper-level high positioned over the islands is maintaining a stable and dry air mass. There are pockets of moisture, although it's still largely dry, isolated windward and mauka showers are possible overnight and in the morning.

Similar conditions are expected tomorrow, with the trade winds easing slightly to moderate levels on Tuesday night and Wednesday due to a weakening in the high northeast of the islands. Stable weather will persist with limited moisture in the trade wind flow, resulting in light to moderate rainfall over windward areas. Apart from a few afternoon showers on the Kona slopes of the Big Island, leeward areas should remain dry.
