While computers are slowly coming back online, Hawaii travelers were stuck stranded at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport due to flight delays.

The FAA continues to work closely with airlines as they work to resume normal operations. Gorund stops and delays will be intermittent at various airports as the airlines work through residual technology issues.

Federal Aviation Agency in a statement

A late-night social media post from Hawaii DOT announced that "HNL, KOA and OGG operations were extended to accommodate passengers affected by the CrowdStrike outage."

If passengers were to leave the terminal, they would be unable to return unless re-screened. According to HDOT, HNL would be the only airport to do so overnight.

Those who have flights scheduled on Friday, July 19 were encouraged to check in with their airline before heading to the airport.
