Mostly dry conditions through this weekend

HONOLULU (KHON2) -- Trade winds will weaken through Friday, then gradually increase over the weekend, reaching breezy levels by early next week. Limited low clouds and showers mainly in windward and mauka areas, but on Friday a plume of moisture could bring some additional clouds and showers Friday night into Saturday.

On Friday, leeward areas might see more clouds due to lighter winds, which could support sea breeze development. For the Kona slopes of the Big Island, expect increasing clouds during the day with kona winds and clearing at night with land breezes.

A area of moisture will move across the state from Friday night to Saturday, possibly increasing low clouds and showers in windward and mauka areas.

Trade winds will become moderate to breezy over the weekend into early next week.
