HONOLULU (KHON2) -- Abandoned alongside her mom and siblings, Pinky Pie, has had an exceptionally ruff life.
Born partially blind and deaf, she's had to really on her keen nose to guide her way.
According to officials, dogs with sensory differences like Pinky are able to learn just like any dog.
The only difference is to adjust your communication as an owner to a pet with special differences.

Pinky specifically can be trained through touch cues and with positive reinforcement, which will be taught to new owners by Humane Society's team.
The Hawaii Island Humane Society says Pinky is smart, sweet and spunky. She's ready to thrive with a family of her own.
Pinky Pie's adoption information can be found here.
Pinky's mom, Blue Bella is also available for adoption.
