HONOLULU (KHON2) -- Ten workers will be affected when local hardware store, City Mill, closes its central warehouse on Sept. 12.
In a WARN letter sent to the DOL on July 12, the company stated they will "cease warehouse operations."
"The City Mill Board of Directors recently made the difficult decision to close the company's warehouse facility; City Mill retail locations are not affected," the company told KHON2.
The 10 affected warehouse employees will retire or transition to "other employers."
The company was founded in 1899 and continues to operate eight retail stores across Oahu: Ewa Beach, Honolulu, Hawaii Kai, Kaimuki, Kaneohe, Mililani, Pearl City and Waianae.
"We are saddened by the need to take this step and are grateful to our employees for their many years of service to our company."
