Both residents and visitors were invited to Kapiolani Park for music, food, crafts and shopping following the 107th annual King Kamehameha Floral Parade that took over the streets from Downtown Honolulu to Waikiki just hours before.

Vendors said events like this help give them a boost and in exchange, they get to give back some aloha.

"It's just a good way of expressing our culture. Hawaii is all ohana, all aloha," explained vendor Steffany Lupe. "We want to expand that into our products as well and we want to invite people so they know we're here. We're natives of the island and we express our love and aloha to them as well."
