HONOLULU (KHON2) -- The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) is working to fix a hole discovered during a scheduled repaving of the inner roadway in front of Terminal 2 at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL).
The repair work, which started last night, is expected to take about two days.
During this time, curbside pickup for international arrivals will be relocated to areas in front of Baggage Claims 26 to 31 and at the Diamond Head Group Tour area, according to HDOT.
To accommodate passengers, there will be a 30-minute grace period in the public parking structures for those picking up travelers.
Drivers are advised that vehicles will be rerouted from the International Arrivals group pickup area.
They’ll need to use the outer roadway and then navigate back to the inner roadway to reach the baggage claim areas.
Airport security and staff are on hand to manage traffic and guide arriving passengers to the new pickup spots.
HDOT will keep the public updated on the progress of the repairs.
