Mililani alumnus and current NBA assistant coach Rashaun Broadus held his first Build A Player basketball clinic at 'Iolani, lending his vast basketball knowledge to local youth basketball players.
Broadus, who played a decade abroad in countries such as Romania, Lithuania, Ukraine, Canada, Poland and Germany, is currently an assistant coach with the Toronto Raptors.

Prior to his time with the Raptors, Broadus was a video coordinator and player development with the Memphis Grizzlies, the same title he currently holds in Toronto. He was also an assistant for the Memphis Hustle, the G League affiliate for the Grizzlies.
"Back in my hometown, and I just want to bring back everything, all the knowledge and experience that I've gained over the years and just give it back to the youth out here," he said. "I was raised out here around these courts, and I feel it's my responsibility to give back to the youth today. I mean, any information, especially from from the levels that I've experienced, anything that we can bring back to the island to push the game of basketball forward over here would be I think it's very useful for our youth out here, for them to see people that's come from the island and that they're doing it on high levels off island, I think is very inspirational and motivational for all the youth that's coming up today."
