HONOLULU (KHON2) -- The 13th Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture (FestPAC) is set to host its Ekalesia – an Ecumenical Service, showcasing the profound spiritual legacy and diverse cultures of the Pacific Islands.
The service promises a heartfelt gathering, celebrating the deep-rooted spirituality that flourishes across the Pacific nations.
Scheduled as a traditional church service, the event aims to embody the spiritual essence intrinsic to Pacific cultures. It provides a platform for communal worship, offering attendees an opportunity to honor and express their shared faith.
The program features a lineup of hymn singing, readings, prayers, and reflections, emphasizing the spiritual connections and cultural richness prevalent throughout the Pacific Islands. Choirs from various Pacific Island nations will deliver choral performances, adding to the ambiance of the service.
Reverend Elder Falelua Lafitaga from the EFKAS Kanana Fou Congregational Christian Church will deliver the opening prayer, setting the tone for the service. Kahu Kenneth Makuakāne, Senior Pastor of Kawaiahaʻo Church, will deliver a message during the event.

The service is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 9, 2024, with doors opening at 12 p.m. The service will commence from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.
