HONOLULU (KHON2) -- The Honolulu Police Department is investigating an attempted murder after a teenage male passenger was apparently shot on a city bus in Kalihi area.
The teen, aged 17, was struck by a bullet fired by two males riding a moped Friday afternoon.

According to EMS, the boy was hit in the upper body and needed lifesaving treatment before being transported to the hospital.
The incident occurred near the intersection of School Street and Kamehameha IV Road around 3:30 p.m.
Officers are at the scene. No suspects arrested at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
