Hawaii's high school football teams will challenge themselves against the best teams the continental United States and beyond has to offer in 2024, with defending state champion Kahuku leading the charge yet again.

The Red Raiders, who have won three straight state titles, will open their season on Aug. 9 against Saint Louis and new head coach Tupu Alualu.

From there, Kahuku will visit defending national champion Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas on Aug. 16. The Red Raiders also had an arrangement to host national powerhouse Mater Dei (Calif.) on Sept. 14, but those terms were agreed upon under former Monarchs coach Frank McManus. Since then, Mater Dei replaced him with Raul Lara, though they're hopeful the game on the North Shore will proceed as planned.

Meanwhile, state runner-up Mililani will visit Los Alamitos (Calif.) on Sept. 6.

Another one of Hawaii's top teams will take on a California power when Punahou hosts Sierra Canyon on Aug. 16.

Elsewhere in the ILH, Kamehameha will host Mission Viejo on Aug. 17 before heading to Southern California to face Warren the following week, which boasts four-star quarterback Madden Iamaleava.

In Michael Lafaele's first season as Farrington's head coach, the Governors will have four home games in August including California's Rancho Mirage on Aug. 23, as well as Tafuna High School of American Samoa the week before.

Additionally, multiple Maui teams are set to host SoCal competition as Lahainaluna will play California's Valley Center on Aug. 23, while Kamehameha-Maui plays host to Beaumont on Aug. 15.
