HONOLULU (KHON2) -- Legendary voyaging canoe Hokulea is ready to set sail on the sea after a one-day delay due to weather halted the crew from embarking on their journey.
Hokulea is now expected to depart from Sand Island on Oahu Friday, 1 p.m. and sail to Hanalei on Kauai.
Hanalei is the first stop on Hokulea's Pae Aina Statewide Sail.
While there, the crew will host canoe tours and activities for schools and the community.

Nāwiliwili Arrival at Nāwiliwili Small Boat Harbor
