HONOLULU (KHON2) -- After a few days of grounded flights, Mokulele said they are back to normal operations.
The grounding came after routine maintenance found potential problems with landing gear.
"They took it upon themselves to make sure the logs were all in check. That the landing gear was properly installed and that it was workable. You know, it was a mechanical issue," said Sen. Lynn DeCoite (D) East and Upcountry Maui, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe.
At the time, Mokulele officials said they were working diligently to safely return the fleet to service and had re-accommodated passengers.
“The documentation issues have been resolved. As of yesterday evening, we have returned to normal operations,” Louis Saint Cyr, President of Hawaii Operations told KHON2.
