Pearl City's Kai Kamaka III and Ray Cooper III each made weight on Thursday for their respective Friday fights at PFL 9 in Washington, D.C.

Kamaka (145.6) will battle 2022 PFL featherweight champion Brendan Loughnane (146) in the 2024 featherweight semifinals, which will also serve as the main event of the main card, which begins at 4 p.m. HST on ESPN and ESPN+.
Kamaka recently defeated Pedro Carvalho at PFL 6 on June 28 to advance to the playoffs.
Kamaka, who has won five straight fights, is headlining a professional MMA card for the first time in his career.
Also on the card is Pearl City's Ray Cooper, who will take on Mukhamed Berkhamov in a welterweight showcase fight in the early card main event, which begins at 1 p.m. HST.
