Jordan Nahoi-Baricar has played inline hockey for nearly his whole life, and now will head to play for Team USA's 18U team this year.

Nahoi-Baricar will compete in Italy at the World Championships in September.

"This is a huge opportunity, especially for people from Hawaii," said Nahoi-Baricar.

The Last time the Kapolei graduate competed for a Team USA National squad, he helped bring home silver.

"It was 2022 and our coach kind of just recommended to us like just try and sign up, and see what happens. And then boom, like a month later we got in and we were super stoked and excited. So we went and got 2nd place," said Nahoi-Baricar.

This time around, it wasn't easy making the roster as he had to be hand selected out of a tryout, but now will look to bring back the gold medal to Hawaii.

"We just did a little practice skate with 60 kids there, but then only 12 were selected. It was a huge turn out and I was one of the few that got chosen as well," said Nahoi-Baricar. "We want to get that gold, especially with some of the team members that I have. Like I know we will have good competition with everybody else as well. So I think we're going to do really well and I hope we get that gold too. We should get that gold."

Nahoi-Baricar is one of six defensive players on the 18u Team USA roster. The World Championships of Inline Hockey will get underway later this year in September.
