HONOLULU (KHON2) -- Saturday, August 31, marked the beginning of the 42nd annual Okinawan Festival in Hawaii at the Hawaii Convention Center.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, partakers can enjoy vibrant traditions, ono food, and rich history.
Early admission begins at 9 a.m. both days.
A Bon Dance takes place on Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
