HONOLULU (KHON2) -- The 13th Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture displays the beauty of cultural exchange and celebration and Friday promises a variety of events spread across iconic venues such as the Hawaiian Convention Center, Bishop Museum and more.
Daily events are held across these venues:
Hawai'i Convention Center
- Festival Village from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Exhibition Hall
- Expo from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Level 3
- Literary Arts from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Room 311
- Theater and Oratorical Arts Showcase from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Room 310 and Room 320
- Hoʻoulu Lāhui: Regenerating Oceania Exhibit from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Film Screenings and Panel Discussions from 1 – 6 p.m., Room 320
- Fashion Showcase from 3 – 4 p.m., Festival Village Main Stage
- Dance, Music and Fashion Programming, starting at 4 p.m., Room 316A
Bishop Museum
- Carving and Tattoo demonstrations from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Capitol Modern
- FestPAC 50th Anniversary exhibit from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Traditional dances, music, and contemporary performances, at various stages across Oʻahu. Friday performances will include:
- Hawaiʻi Convention Center from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Capitol Modern from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Ala Moana Center from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Royal Hawaiian Center from 3 – 7 p.m.
- Kani Ka Pila Grille from 3 – 5 p.m.
- Waikīkī Beach Walk from 4 – 8 p.m.
FestPAC events are free and open to the public. Due to the rising cases of COVID-19 in Hawai'i, they have implemented measures to ensure the safety and well-being of attendees, including enhanced sanitation procedures, hygiene guidelines and encouraging mask-wearing in indoor settings.
