HONOLULU (KHON2) -- Fire crews on both Oahu and Kauai had a busy Sunday battling multiple brush fires, with some still going.
Honolulu Fire Department entered day two of battling a wildland fire in Kapolei, ending the night containing 100% of the fire.
Flames broke out around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday on Coral Sea Road and Ranger Road. In Sunday's last report issued by the Incident Commander, the fire had been 65% contained.
An early morning Monday report stated that the fire involved 100 acres. Firefighters also extinguished multiple hot spots and flare-ups in the burned-out area.
In a 4:30 update, HFD announced that fire operations had been suspended for the day with assessments scheduled throughout the night on Monday and Tuesday morning.
The fire has since been 100% contained with no evacuations or road closures issued and no injuries reported.
Oahu firefighters then moved to a wildland fire incident in the Fort Shafter area shortly after 3 p.m. on Monday.

Reports said the fire involved "mostly ground cover and pine needles that burned about five to six acres.
Air 1 commenced water drops on the perimeter.
Due to darkness, fire operations were suspended around 6 p.m., and reported that the fire had been "75% contained with no active burning on the perimeter."
The final media alert also stated that HECO has de-energized power lines in the area.
Over on Kauai, firefighters battled multiple brush fires on Sunday night near Kalepa Ridge in Hanamā‘ulu, which officials believe were intentionally set.
The call came in around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday when firefighters found several small fires and hot spots in a 100-foot by 50-foot area behind an industrial area and Kalepa Village apartments.
KFD personnel used tank water to extinguish flames and bring the fire under control. The next morning, crews responded to a flare-up around 6:15 a.m. and cleared the scene at 7 a.m.
“There really is no excuse for this type of reckless behavior which is putting lives and property at serious risk. We urge the public for their help in identifying anyone involved in Sunday’s incident," said Kaua‘i Fire Chief Michael Gibson.
