HONOLULU (KHON2) — Broadway in Hawaii has a brand new season coming to the newly renovated Blaisdell Concert Hall in 2025.
Theater fans can look forward to two new shows, which will debut for the first time and the return of a classic.
After a year of renovations, the Blaisdell Concert Hall will open in March 2025 for the new Broadway season.
"We brought the mountain to the people," stated Honolulu Mayor, Rick Blangiardi.
"They certainly can afford to be able to come here and buy tickets and experience a bit of Broadway."
Broadway in Hawaii will debut SIX and TINA- The Tina Turner Musical for the first time in Hawaii along with the much-anticipated classic, Chicago.
Season ticket packages and dates for all three shows are available here.
Showings for TINA—The Tina Turner Musical will run from Tuesday, April 22, to Sunday, April 27. SIX will premiere on Tuesday, June 17, and run through Sunday, June 29.
Chicago will have its first showing from Tuesday, Dec. 2, to Sunday, Dec. 7.
"The subject is 500 years ago, but using today's musical vocabulary," stated Kevin Mccollum, SIX Producer. "It's 80 minutes of nonstop octane-fueled energy and joy, but yet it has a great heart."
