HONOLULU (KHON2) -- The Department of Justice revealed a Hawaii man has pled guilty after violating the Atomic Energy Act in 2018.

According to reports, 60-year-old Mark Kazee was caught transferring equipment containing radioactive material from his former company to a new company that did not have the proper license.
In addition, court documents outlined that Kazee did not record the transfer.
Officials said Kazee worked in the equipment testing industry for more than 30 years, serving as both an inspector and a supervisor of inspectors.
