Hawaii's JJ Mandaquit commits to Washington

Hawaii native and former 'Iolani standout JJ Mandaquit will play his collegiate basketball at Washington.

Mandaquit announced in a social media post that he chose the Huskies over a final nine that also included the likes of BYU, Hawaii, Louisville, California, Creighton, USC, Tennessee and Virginia.

Following his freshman year at 'Iolani, Mandaquit relocated to Utah, where he's currently a senior at Utah Prep Academy. For two straight summers, he has started at point guard for the United States national team.
