HONOLULU (KHON2) -- Hawaii is currently under stable weather pattern. Despite an upper low overhead, it's only producing occasional high clouds. During this period, breezy trade winds will continue bringing shallow, mostly light showers to windward and mauka areas, as has been the case recently.
Meanwhile, storms along the US West Coast is adding moisture to the upstream trade wind flow, expected to arrive Friday night through Saturday morning. Trades will become locally strong and wetter into the weekend. Showers will occasionally reach the typically drier leeward areas, mainly overnight and early morning.
