With an opportunity to clinch the Big West regular season title on the final day, the University of Hawaii women's volleyball team fell 25-19, 15-25, 25-18, 25-19 at UC Irvine on Saturday night.
The Rainbow Wahine fell to 19-9 overall and 13-5 in Big West play will enter the conference tournament as the No. 2 seed, which also takes place in Irvine.

Cal Poly clinched the top seed in the tournament after finishing 14-4. Hawaii had the tiebreaker over the Mustangs after sweeping the season series.
Hawaii will play in the Big West semifinals on Friday at 3 p.m. HST against an opponent to be determined.
