Duke’s Kona will occupy a prime 15,000 square-foot oceanfront space at OUTRIGGER Kona Resort & Spa, which recently underwent a $60 million renovation honoring its historical roots and vibrant essence of Keauhou, meaning “New Current” or “New Era”.

“Since our founding in 1977, our goal has been to develop, build, and personally operate high-quality restaurants in Hawai‘i and California. With 14 restaurants across both states, we are excited to expand to Hawai‘i Island and honored to join the Kona community,” said T S Restaurants CEO Jackie Reed.

Renowned local architecture firm WCIT will design the restaurant, ensuring it complements the resort’s transformation.

Duke’s Kona will offer a memorable dining experience, celebrating the legacy of Duke Kahanamoku, joining other esteemed Duke’s Restaurants in Waikīkī, Kaua‘i, Maui, La Jolla, Huntington Beach and Malibu, further enhancing the allure of OUTRIGGER Kona Resort & Spa.

“Duke’s Kona is the perfect partner for OUTRIGGER Kona Resort & Spa,” said Jeff Wagoner, president and CEO of OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group. “Our investment in this property aims to enrich the local community and enhance our visitors’ experiences. Welcoming this iconic restaurant is a significant milestone for all involved.”

Founded in 1977 by two best friends, T S Restaurants continues to be actively managed by the founders' families.
