The University of Hawaii men's basketball team has earned a commitment from Xavier transfer and Lithuania native Gytis Nemeiksa.
Nemeiksa, a native of Kaunas, Lithuania, averaged 5.2 points and 4.2 rebounds in 2023-2024, starting 19 of the 34 games he played in. He also shot 46.9% from the field, 36.4% on 3-pointers and 64.7% from the free throw line.

Nemeiksa entered Xavier as a 21-year-old, and it was determined by the NCAA that he was a Lithuanian university transfer despite not previous college basketball experience. At Hawaii, he will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Nemeiksa has a bevy of accolades in his native Lithuania, where in 2023 he led Zalgiris II to an NKL Championship and was named the Final Four MVP after averaging 11.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
