Former University of Hawaii star Jahlani Tavai has reportedly agreed to terms on a new deal with the New England Patriots.
The 27 year old linebacker earned a three-year contract extension worth $15 million with a maximum value of $21 million, according to reports by ESPN and the NFL Network.
Tavai, was set to become a free agent following the 2024 season, earning $1.265 million in base salary. The new deal keeps him under contract with New England through the 2027 season.
In 2023, Tavai posted a career-high 110 combined tackles for the Patriots.
Since being selected 41st overall by the Lions in 2019, Tavai has played five NFL seasons, three in New England, totaling 309 tackles.
