HONOLULU (KHON2) -- Maui County announced several events to honor people who lost their lives in the August wildfires on Friday.
A series of community-driven remembrances will be held from August 8 through August 11.
August 8, Thursday
- Paddle out in Hanaka‘ō‘ō Beach Park, Lahaina | 9 a.m.
- Upcountry Aloha Luncheon in Hannibal Tavares Community Center, Pukalani | 10 a.m.
- One-Year Tribute and Remembrance in Lahaina Civic Center | 5 p.m.
August 9, Friday
- Aloha for Kūpuna of Lahaina in Lahaina civic Center | 9 a.m.
- Puana Aloha No Lahaina in Lahaina Civic Center | 6 p.m.
August 10, Saturday
