KHON2's Chris Latronic went live at the International Marketplace in Waikiki to learn more about what we can expect and enjoy at the 41st annual event.

Alan Kinuhata revealed that this year's event will run from June 7 to June 9 in Waikiki.

"On Friday night, we'll have the Hoolaulea and Bon Dance," said Kinuhata. "There will be hula and other performances at the Kuhio Beach Hula Mound, Ala Moana Center Stage and at the International Marketplace."

Kinuhata said the multi-cultural celebration will kick off the Bon Dance season and summer through a weekend full of free events.

Along with over 50 vendors and multiple stages, the Pan-Pacific Festival is a celebration of Japanese and local culture with food and entertainment to represent diversity.

At the Hoolaulea, festival-goers can expect hula performances, dance performances, taiko, music and entertainment including the Na Hoku Stage featuring Na Hoku-nominated artists like Kalae Camarillo.

In addition, they'll have other cultural groups like Dragon Beat Taiko and Arang Gogo Janggu, a Korean Dance Group.
