It was a significant recruiting weekend for the University of Hawaii football team as the Rainbow Warriors secured three commitments for the Class of 2025.

The new recruits include Bishop Gorman receiver Brandon Gaea and linebackers Zaden Mariteagi from Farrington, formerly of Kahuku, and Campbell's Asiah Paogofie.

Paogofie, a senior-to-be for the Sabers who goes by the nickname "Scoob," was a standout on defense this past season. He eagerly awaits the opportunity to fulfill his lifelong dream of playing football at the next level, with his support system by his side.

"You know, it's a lot to carry being from Hawaii, just representing and showing the bigger schools that we can compete. Being able to play for my family here is a blessing. Them coming out to my games, that's a dream come true. When they first called, it was unbelievable," Paogofie said.

"Just giving me the opportunity to play at the next level is a blessing. It motivates me to push myself even harder and inspire the younger kids, the underclassmen, to be ready and prepared for our upcoming season and the challenges ahead. So, yeah, just getting prepared this summer and being ready," he added.

Paogofie, who is rated as a three-star recruit by the 247Sports service will open his 2024 season with Campell in early August.

The first Letter of Intent signing day for the Class of 2025 is highly anticipated.

According to 247Sports, Mariteagi is the 15th ranked recruit in the state of Hawaii as a three-star linebacker.

Gaea, who is 6-1 and 185 pounds, received a 3-star rating and is ranked 21st in the state of Nevada.

The trio joins Saint Louis WR Titan Lacaden, Bishop Gorman OL KJ Hallums as current commitments for the 2025 recruiting class.
