HONOLULU (KHON2) -- A dry and stable weather pattern will dominate the islands through midweek, with a high-pressure being our current weather-maker. Moderate trade winds will bring in some moisture, leading to clouds and scattered showers mainly in windward and mauka areas, especially overnight and in the afternoon on the Big Island's Kona slopes. These conditions are expected to stay consistent through Wednesday.
Starting Thursday, the weather pattern will change. A weak low will approach from the east, pushing the high westward. This will lead to lighter trade winds by Friday, increasing the chances of sea breezes and cloud cover, as well as shower activity in leeward and interior areas.
