HONOLULU (KHON2) -- A wildland fire reported on Poohaili Street in Lāʻie is currently 40 percent contained, according to the Honolulu Fire Department.
On Friday evening, HFD reported that the fire has grown to 20 acres, expanding from the previous 5 acres affected.
As of 5:52 p.m. on Saturday, the fire is 40 percent contained. However, officials located a slow-moving fire on very steep terrain.
There are approximately 13 personnel working on the ground and two helicopters in use.
