KPD Records, firearms services hours for Statehood Day

LĪHUʻE, Hawaii (KHON2) -- In observance of Statehood Day, the Kaua‘i Police Department’s (KPD) Records services and firearms registration windows will be closed on Friday, August 16.

Records window will open from Monday to Thursday. Hours are from 8 a.m. to noon, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

According to KPD, normal hours of operation will resume on Monday, August 19.

Statehood Day is an annual holiday, every third Friday of August, celebrating Hawaii's admission as a state of the U.S. in 1959.
