Micah Suderman, owner of Zia's Caffe, joined the Wake Up 2Day crew to showcase a few of their signature dishes.

Micah shared his story of how he got his first job as a busboy at Zia's when he was young. He also explained that "Zia" means "Aunty" in Italian. So when you're eating at Zia's Caffe, you are essentially eating at "Aunty's Caffe."

Zia's Caffe was started in 1998 by Don Dymond and Tresa Owens. It's a community-focused restaurant that is reasonable and has fresh Italian food with a local spin.

Some of their popular dishes include brussel sprouts, chicken parmesan, and an Italian-style loco moco.

At KHON2, Micah featured their ono french dip sandwich while promoting a variety of sandwiches and lunch menu to-go options.

"The stracciatella was superb, combining that majestic cheese with tomato carpaccio, fresh basil pesto, and balsamic marinated sundried tomatoes. If you like caprese, this dish is for you," expressed KHON2's Chris Latronic.

Micah also featured their famous lasagna, which is made with beef, pork, and bacon.

Zia's features daily specials that the team creates based on fresh ingredients and the mood they are in.
