Live blog: UCLA football at Hawaii

In what promises to be a festive and lively environment at a sold-out Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex, the University of Hawaii football team takes on UCLA for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff.

The Bruins, now members of the Big Ten Conference, ring in the DeShaun Foster era against the 'Bows as 14 point betting favorites.

5:09: Hawaii can't produce on the last drive and 16-13 is your final. UCLA wins. Stay with KHON2 on-air and online for updates.

5:07: Hawaii will get the ball from its own 25 with no timeouts.

5:05: Hawaii calls its final timeout facing fourth-and-1. Bhaghani makes a 32-yard field goal, giving UCLA its first lead of the game, 16-13, with 56 seconds left.

5:03: UH uses its second timeout of the half. UCLA facing third-and-6 on the UH 19 with 1:10 left.

4:59: Fresh set of downs coming up for UCLA at the UH 33 at the two minute timeout. 13-13. UH has two timeouts left, UCLA has three.

4:56: Hawaii punts from its own 30, returned by Logan Loya to the UH 40 with 3:08 left.

4:44: Hawaii's defense holds steady and forces a UCLA punt. Hawaii starts from its own 9 with 5:51 left. An absolutely enormous drive coming up here.

4:36: A prolonged drive ends with a punt from midfield. UCLA gets the ball back on its own 29 with 9:30 remaining.

4:29: Hawaii will begin from its own 25 after a touchback.

4:26: Hawaii holds Mateen Bhaghani to a field goal attempt, which ties things up at 13 with 14:05 left.

FOURTH QUARTER

4:19: Schager is INTERCEPTED by D.J. Justice at the UH 35 with 38 seconds left in the third.

4:18: Hawaii starts from its own 10 after a short return from Tylan Hines.

4:14: The Bruins get all the way to the Hawaii 8 on a 53-yard pass from Garbers to Flores Jr., but get held to a 22-yard Mateen Bhaghani field goal. Hawaii leads 13-10 with 57 seconds left in the third quarter.

4:08: UCLA begins from its own 25 after a touchback.

4:05: Hawaii manufactures a long drive but gets held to a 28-yard field goal, Matsuzawa's second one of the day with 4:12 remaining in the third quarter.

3:56: Hawaii starts from its own 25 after a touchback.

3:53: TOUCHDOWN UCLA. Rico Flores Jr. hauls in a 39-yard pass from Garbers in stride. Glessner's extra point cuts the UH lead to 10-7 with 8:41 left in the third quarter.

3:42: After a three-and-out, Lucas Borrow punts 65 yards to the UCLA 3.

3:39: Hawaii will start on its own 35 after a short kickoff return from Tylan Hines.

THIRD QUARTER

3:19: After going three-and-out, Kansei Matsuzawa barely makes a 28-yard field goal to give Hawaii a 10-0 lead at halftime. A great first half for Hawaii, all things considered, and the Rainbow Warriors will also receive the second half kickoff.

3:15: Ethan Garbers almost gets taken down for a safety but instead he throws an INTERCEPTION to LOGAN TAYLOR. Hawaii has first down at the UCLA 6.

3:11: Schager is INTERCEPTED by UCLA's Ramon Henderson at the UCLA 5 with 30 seconds remaining in the second half.

3:03: Hawaii has a fresh set of downs at its own 34 at the two minute warning. The 'Bows have two timeouts available.

3:00: Hawaii forces yet another punt and gets the ball back on its own 19 with 2:49 left.

2:54: Hawaii can't get more than one first down. Quarterback Brayden Schager gets sacked on third down and stays down. Not good for the Rainbow Warriors. After the punt, UCLA gets the ball on its own 10 after a nice punt by Lucas Borrow.

2:48: UCLA decides to kick. Blake Glessner's 51-yard field goal attempt is WIDE RIGHT. Hawaii gets the ball back.

2:46: UCLA drives all the way to the UH 34 and calls its first timeout of the half facing fourth-and-4 with 7:54 left in the second quarter.

2:29: Hawaii turns it over on downs at the UCLA 40 after going for it on fourth-and-2. UH still leads 7-0 with 10:31 left in the second quarter.

2:30: Hawaii forces a punt that bounces all the way to the UH 28 with 14:40 remaining.

SECOND QUARTER

2:25: The first quarter ends with UCLA facing third-and-20 on its own 10. Hawaii leads 7-0.

2:19: Schager is back in the game but throws an incomplete pass. Hawaii punts for a touchback with 47 seconds left in the first quarter.

2:17: Hawaii calls timeout facing third-and-9 on its own 48 with 59 seconds left in the first quarter. Quarterback Brayden Schager appears injured.

2:09: A long UCLA drive ends with a Jalen Smith INTERCEPTION in the end zone. Hawaii gets the ball back on its own 20 with 3:17 left in the first quarter. Prior to that, Peter Manuma was called for targeting, but the play got called back. UH's auspicious start continues.

1:58: A touchback on the ensuing kickoff gives UCLA the ball on its own 25.

1:55: Brayden Schager finds a WIDE OPEN Pofele Ashlock for a 19-yard touchdown to cap the drive and Kansei Matsuzawa's extra point is good. Hawaii up 7-0 with 7:43 left. A dream start for UH and Schager, who is 6-for-6 for 51 yards.

1:50: Three-and-out for UH. But punter Lucas Borrow runs a FAKE PUNT 19 yards for a first down to midfield.

1:47: UCLA gets a first down but not much after. A punt gives UCLA the ball on its own 25 with 13:17 left in the first quarter.

1:43: Kickoff goes into the end zone for a touchback, but an unnecessary roughness call on Kilinahe Mendiola-Jensen gives UCLA the ball on its own 40.

1:41 p.m.: Hawaii wins the coin toss and defers to the second half. UCLA will receive to begin the game.

FIRST QUARTER

PREGAME: A very unique look for Hawaii on the field, as the Rainbow Warriors are donning white helmets, black jerseys and black pants for the first time in program history. UCLA, meanwhile, is in its traditional gold helmets, white jerseys and gold pants.
