HONOLULU (KHON2) -- Bands of clouds from a weak disturbance moving are moving into the windward and mauka areas of the islands tonight. These clouds will bring brief showers mainly overnight and early in the morning.
A weak high-pressure system north of Hawaii will keep moderate trade winds blowing into next week. The forecast will see only slight changes, with trade winds gradually weakening from Sunday onward as a cold front approaches. Daily shower patterns will also change only a little, with some increased shower activity expected from Friday night to early Saturday, followed by drier weather for the rest of the weekend.
