HONOLULU (KHON2) -- Federal agencies and Honolulu police are investigating the cause of an outage that compromised Oahu Transit Services' online system.
The City and County of Honolulu initially announced the outage around 7 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Officials said TheHandi-Van reservation lines were back online about two hours later and passengers were able to schedule their trips.
While TheHandi-Van reservations and phone systems are back online, TheBus' website and GPS service are still unavailable.
Additionally, officials said HOLO cards for TheBus and The Handi-Van are currently not working, but riders are able to pay with cash or show their HOLO cards to bus drivers as proof of fare.
The Skyline rail service is not affected by the outage.
