HONOLULU (KHON2) -- A special partnership and cultural experience between the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Hawaii and the Mexican Consulate in San Fransisco has docked in Honolulu Harbor.
On Wednesday, Honolulu welcomed guests from the historic ARM Cuauhtemoc, a Mexican naval tall ship, as it sailed its way to Aloha Tower.
Over 200 cadets and officers from the Mexican Navy will educate visitors during their five-day visit to Oahu.
"You can ask them about, all your questions about tall ship, about the culture also, about Mexico, about anything you want to know," said Cadet Castellanos, Naval school student. "It's a really cool experience to know something about another culture."
The welcome session featured a Hula blessing before opening up to the public for them to board and tour the ship for free.
Visitors can tour the ship from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
After they visit Honolulu, the ship will then make its way to Tokyo, Japan to continue its seven-and-a-half-month journey around the world.
