HONOLULU (KHON2) -- The City and County of Honolulu announced Friday that the public should expect heavy traffic on the roadways and sidewalks near 'Ehukai Beach Park on Sunday afternoon for the celebration of life for Tamayo Perry.
Perry was killed in a fatal shark attack off Malaekahana on June 23. He was a lifeguard and a known surfer on O'ahu's North Shore.
On Sunday, services will be held at 3:30 p.m. at Sunset Beach Neighborhood Park. After the service, a paddle out will take place at ‘Ehukai Beach Park.
Individuals who are planning on attending the ceremony are asked by DTS to consider using TheBus Route 60, which travels from Honolulu to ʻEhukai and back. Route 60 operates between Haleʻiwa, ʻEhukai, Turtle Bay, the Windward Coast, Kāneʻohe, Kalihi, Downtown Honolulu, Kakaʻako, and Ala Moana Center.
