Kahuku Senior Aiden Manutai announces verbal commitment to University of California, Berkeley

Kahuku Red Raider, Aiden Manutai ranked in the top-10 in the state of Hawaii for the football class of 2025, according to 24/7 sports, officially verbally committed to his intended college program.

Manutai verbally committing to the University of California, Berkeley on Friday afternoon.

"I told my parents I wanted to take an official (visit) back to Cal. So we went there, met the coaches, the whole coaching staff, and then from there it was just, it was a family environment. So I felt like that was the place I need to be," said Manutai.

The Kahuku Safety committing to Cal over Arizona, Tennessee, Nebraska, and Washington.

Manutai will be joining a few other players from Hawaii at the California, including Hawaii's 2025 number 1 recruit Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele and Kahuku teammate LeBron Williams.

"Jaron and LeBron played a huge part in the commitment. I know that they had the same goals, same mindset. I met some of the other recruits before, so they have the same mentality. So that's what made me, you know, kind of make the commitment to Cal," said Manutai.

Before the Kahuku senior heads off to play for the Golden Bears, he will get his senior season with the Red Raiders underway in August.
