HONOLULU (KHON2) -- Honolulu's "New Era" 13-U baseball team was celebrated by the city today for their impressive victory in the Babe Ruth League World Series earlier this month.
The team clinched the championship by defeating Glenn Allen of Virginia, 3-2.
Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi honored each player with certificates of achievement at a special ceremony.
This win marks the fourth consecutive year that a Hawaii team has taken home the title in this age group.
